I hope some of the above will be helpful in solving this problem. In any case, I put all the folders and their contents back in their original locations in case that turns out to be important later on. In any case, when the installer gets to the point where it's doing its clean up work and attempts to delete the TMP files, wherever they are, it's denied access and spits out the error message. If the iPod folder is gone, it puts the files in the iTunes folder. If it's not there, it puts the TMP files in the iPod folder. If the bin folder is there, that's where it puts them. Observing the messages that show up in the installer window as it runs, it appears the installer creates two TMP files. But when I restarted in regular mode and ran the iTumes installer, the same error occurred. I did discover that I can delete the bin folder by restarting the pc in safe mode and logging in as administrator. I then tried installing the iTunes update from the new account but got the same error message as before. I ran the command as you suggested and the result returned was indeed 'System Administrator.' So I created a new administrator account called 'SysAdmin' and deleted the 'System Administrator' one. Re: iTunes update to version 11.2.2 fails I just wanted to make sue first that the admin account was System Administrator If you would like some further instructions on how to delete and make a new account let me know. If you do this make sure you back up any files you might have saved inside C:\Users\System Administrator as they will be lost. Or even better to create a Brand new account called SysAdmin give it all the admin access you like -> then delete the System Administrator account. If it does, I would like the account to be renamed to SystemAdmin or something of your choosing, as long as there is no spaces. Lets go back into your CMD window as Admin and type inĪ text file will now open does it say System Administrator? This would explain way SAS had an issue installing as well. it doesn't process request's very well.įor example If I have a user account called Go The Power windows will try and run the Go as a user account and because Go is not a user name it spits out an access denied message. If it is how long have you hat this account for? Windows doesn't like it very much when there is a space between the names. RunLogonScriptSync REG_DWORD 0x0Is this your admin account? ProfileImagePath REG_EXPAND_SZ C:\Users\System Administrator
